Reserving on dayuse was a breeze. I appreciate the service and the flexibility of the cancellation policy. When I arrived at the hotel, the hotel did not have my reservation because it hadn't synced up with their system so I had to wait about 30 minutes to get checked into the room. This was after I waited 10 minutes in line behind the customer in front of me. Additionally I was charged $30 for parking and my visitor was charged $15. I had no prior knowledge that I would spend $45 on parking for a room that only cost $99. I may have chosen a different hotel. When I checked in I told the agent not to run my credit card and that I would pay cash upon check out. When I went to check out, a different agent, who happens to be the manager, informed me the charge had already gone through on my credit card. She could not void the transaction. She canceled the transaction, and I ended up paying cash so essentially I paid twice and I'm waiting several days for the credit card transaction to be refunded. This is not ok, as I did not want any more charges to my card. To top things off, when I paid cash, the agent was out of change and shorted me my 27 cents instead of rounding up and giving me the extra dollar after all of my bad experiences. I'm not quibbling over 27 cents, but this definitely does not reflect good customer service. Between the room, taxes, valet for two cars, I ended up spending almost $170 to use a discounted room for just several hours. I saw on the website that I would be charged for parking but it didn't say how much or I might have reconsidered this hotel. The room itself was beautiful and comfortable and clean, but the check in and check out experience may not have been worth it. I will try dayuse again with a different hotel because I like the concept, but if I have another problem like this I will discontinue using the service and let all my friends know not to use it either.
